Reports of a man lying injured at the base of cliffs near Camels Island, South Tyneside. As the lifeboat arrived it was confirmed that the reported object was in fact a pile of rocks.

Launched following report from Port Control of an unmanned boat drifting down river. The lifeboat located the vessel and confirmed that it showed no sign of recent use. It was taken in tow back a mooring within the port.

Launched following multiple 999 calls reporting a Jetski rider in difficulty at Seaburn. The lifeboat located the ski and rider; and discovered that rider was attempting to swim to shore after his ski suffered engine failure. The rider and ski were then taken in tow back to the marina slipway.

Launched after reports of 2 teenagers cut off by the tide at Hendon. Coastguards and the ILB located the teenagers; who were escorted back to safety by Coastguards.

Report of a van in the water at Deptford. Due to the water level the lifeboat crew were unable to confirm if anyone was inside the car; so it was secured with lines ready for the Police divers to carryout a search.

Launched after reports of a man standing on the wrong side of safety railings on Wearmouth Bridge. While on-route lifeboat crew were advised tp stand down as the man had been talked down by Police.

Launched after reports of a man standing on the wrong side of safety railings on Wearmouth Bridge. After 10 mins the man was recovered from the bridge by Coastguards using rope rescue equipment.

Launched to assist the crew (2 POB) of a 32ft fishing coble which was drifting 300m east of Ryhope after suffering engine failure. The lifeboat took the boat in tow; and returned it to its own moorings at Sunderland Fish Quay.

Launched after reports of a man standing on the wrong side of safety railings on Wearmouth Bridge. The lifeboat stoodby in close proximity while Police talked to the man. After about 20 minutes, the man agreed to climb back over the railings to safety.

Lifeboat diverted from passage back to station from Tynemouth to attend an incident on Wearmouth Bridge where Coastguards had located a man standing on the wrong side of railings. The man then climbed back over the railings and walked down Panns Bank towards the river. After a further 10 minutes the man was arrested by Police.

Launch requested to assist Police with an incident at Claxheugh Rock, South Hylton. The Police managed to detain the man quickly so the lifeboat launch was cancelled.
